Dropping a line to all of you. It's midweek finally! I've spent the last couple of days in court on jury duty. Don't be annoyed or frightened when you get called. It's actually a lot of fun and more interesting than you think. I'd do it all over again if I could. We've been rehearsing 4 new songs this week and having a damn fine time with it. We're working with Hugh again (produced LYLO) and he's been coming in to rehearsals to check things out. October will be a little quiet from us as a result, but of course as you've just read it doesn't mean we've stopped working. That's really all for now. Hope everyone is enjoying their week. Good to be back, good to be back.
A special thanks for all of you who came out to Great Scott, Dodge St, and CBGB this week. It was great playing for everyone. You pushed us out of our tired shells to play some music for you. As you can see we haven't got any shows lined up right now. We're taking a little break to chill out and work on some new songs for you. Hope you're as excited as we are about this! Still, fear not some more shows are in the works before the year is out. Can't believe we're almost at 2007. Got some special news and goodies planned for you for then as well. Keep checking back for more. Cheers, Jen Thursday, September 21, 2006 Firey feet means a good show. Thanks to everyone who came out to Great Scott last night. Thanks to Michael and the Northeast Performer for sponsering and of course Carl and Tim of Great Scott. Truly lovely evening. We're doing it all over again tonite with the Silver Lining at Dodge St. in Salem. Come around 9. Tomorrow we'll be at M.E.A.N.Y.Fest in NYC. We'll be competing for studio time and swell gigs, so if you're in the Big Apple come on down and see us. It's being held at CBGB, so it'll be your chance to check out the legendary rock venue before it's gone in three weeks. ![]() Cheers, Jen ![]() Empire by Kasabian Sunday, September 17, 2006 It is quite lovely outside. It was a great night in New York on Friday. Happy Birthday again to Annie. A big hug to everyone who came out to watch us. We're all sore from driving home, but it was well worth it. Just a few notes on this month's remaining shows. If you took a look at the calander you'll notice some dates have been changed. Some booking snafus went down, so the Salem and MEANYfest dates were moved. In fact all the shows are happening this week! Here's the rundown: Wed, 9-20 @ Great Scott, Allston, MA 1222 Commonwealth Ave Hosted by Northeast Performer, with The Motion Sick, The Limit, The Diamond Mines. 18+, $8 Thur, 9-21 @ Dodge St, Salem, MA 7 Dodge St, with the Silver Lining; FREE; 9:30PM Fri, 9-22 CBGB for MEANYfest, New York, NY 315 Bowery; not sure when we go on, but I would count around 9:00PM. 16+, wow really? yes! 16+, 7pm Festival start time, with The Jack-Ons, The Amaury, The Ropes, Ariel Aparicio and the Hired Guns, Exit the Ordinary, Ten Pound Strike The nice thing about rescheduling the MEANYfest date is we'll get to play CBGB one more time before it closes down and moves to Las Vegas. Everyone waiting for a reason to visit this historical rock landmark, this is your chance! That's about all my rock n roll family. See ya soon. Cheers, Jen Wednesday, September 13, 2006

After a booking snafu we will be playing Dodge St. on Sept 21 NOT Sept 14. Sorry about that folks. Things are being played out behind the scenes right now, but I can divulge any of that right now for you. You can be sure it'll be up here though once I can. Some fun things to come... of course the whole world may end tomorrow and none of this will happen. But you'll just have to keep waking up everyday to find out. We'll probably begin filming the video for Can You Hear Me Now? at the end of the month and end somewhere in early Oct. I'm hoping to have it for you here in Nov. In the meantime we've still got the Beaches video and the Behind the Scenes video on Leave Your Light On cover girl Liz Acle. Well keep living and listening to good music and we'll do the same.
