You've Got 2 More Days

That's right. Two more days to vote for us in the 2006 Noise Poll. If you haven't heard we've received 5 nominations this year. Voting ends December 29, so you've still got time to give a dog a bone. Here's what we're up for:

#3. CD
Aloud - Leave Your Light On

#6. Vocalist (F)
Jen de la Osa (Aloud)

#7. Guitarist
Henry Beguiristain (Aloud)

#17. Record Label
Lemon Merchant

... that's our self-owned record label

#18. Producer
Hugh Wyman

The New Year is almost upon us. I'm delighted myself to say goodbye to 2006. Some years simply feel like a fling. Onward.

On a different note, you should all go listen to a copy of James Brown's Live At The Apollo. A true soul brother. It's absolutely sad to have him gone.

Cheers,

Jen

The four of us would like to extend our warmest wishes for the holiday season to you and yours. We're happy to announce that long time friend/nyc booker Annie Burns (of annie*rock) is now managing us. Be on the lookout next year for all the new Aloud related activity the five of us have been planning. In the meantime, please take feel free to listen to our album in it's entirety for FREE here.

Leave Your Light On makes for a great stocking stuffer! And if you've got some spare time, we've been nominated in five categories in this year's Noise Poll. Here's a rundown of what we're nominated for:

#3. CD
Aloud - Leave Your Light On

#6. Vocalist (F)

Tell Rolling Stone you love us!

Rolling Stone is having a competition this week. They're listening to one song from bands on myspace. We've submitted 'Beaches'. They'll announce who gets to be featured on RollingStone.com this Friday! BUT they want to hear from you! They want to hear who YOU think deserves the recognition!

Tell them you want RollingStone.com to feature Aloud!

Thanks for everything folks!

Jen

You should vote for us!

Just a little reminder that we've been nominated for a few things in this year's Noise Poll. Please vote for us! The poll closes on 12/29/06. But don't wait, just go and do it now.

Cos if you're anything like me, you'll probably be like "Oh, that's cool. Aloud's totally like the greatest band ever. I'll vote for them on my lunch break." Then you go on your lunch break and are too busy thinking about whether you should go to Subway, or give in to deliciousness and go to Wendy's. And because you're occupied chowing down on your #1 w/ cheese (medium) with a Frosty—to go— you completely forget to vote.

Here's the link: http://www.thenoise-boston.com/poll2006.asp

Vote for this stuff..

#3. CD
Aloud - Leave Your Light On

#6. Vocalist (F)
Jen de la Osa (Aloud)

#7. Guitarist
Henry Beguiristain (Aloud)

#17. Record Label
Lemon Merchant

#18. Producer
Hugh Wyman

And cos he's such a talented guy, we're putting our support behind Photographer Mick Murray (#16)....... and Nate Rogers (#22) for Best Centerfold. Honestly, how could you not vote for something like this?

Vote early & vote often,
Henry

Comment on them, won't you?

So some of those Middle East photos are on our MySpace pics page. Check 'em out if you didn't wanna sift through 173 photos on Mick's Flickr account. :)

And feel free to leave a little comment.

Were You at the Middle East last week?

Then you'd know we were having the gig filmed and photographed. All around great guy Mick Murray took these photos of the show. We love them. You should love them too.

Did someone say "boobs"?

Hey everyone, it's Henry. Just wanted to give everyone a big Thank You for Wednesday night's show. It's the best I've felt in months, and hopefully you all felt the same way. We got the whole thing on film, so hopefully we'll get an edit to you all sooner rather than later.

Special thanks goes to our new friends, who contributed to yet another Aloud milestone:

We don't have anymore shows scheduled for this year unfortunately, but stay tuned.. there are more good things coming before Christmas by way of the interweb.

Speaking of the holidays, these make good stocking stuffers. I'm just sayin'...

Rock!

Henry
