We had delightful little time this weekend though. Friday we headed out to Troy to play Positively Fourth Street. The show went well and we had a chance to catch up with our favorite bartender Patrick. Pat used to work at P4, but just opened his own resturant called the Golden Fox. We met up with him and his partner Joe there after they'd closed up. If you are in the area get your Sunday best on and check out the Golden Fox. The place is gorgeous and Pat is the best bartender you'll ever meet.
Pat was good enough to put us up for the night and in the morning we were off to Saratoga Springs. I'd never been there before and the town is quite pretty. The main strip is pretty cool. It's filled with a bunch of restaurants and stores. We stopped in at Saratoga Guitars. It's a good thing we did coz I was able to buy a Traynor footswitch from them. This is the last little thing I was missing from when our pedals got stolen. It's been so hard to find one of these. This was a pretty awesome moment! Saratoga, I love you. After hanging around we went to the club to set up. All the folks at King's Tavern were super nice and so were all the locals. Very easy to talk to and they'd come right up and introduce themselves. We were lucky enough to have fellow Bostonians the Sterns with us as well. Anyway, thanks to King's Tavern. We'll try to come back in a couple of months. So all in all a good weekend. I think we ended up back in Boston around 4am or something. Also, please note that McDonald's at 3am or any time of the day is a BAD idea. We took a bit of video, so there should be a little something from the weekend coming up soon. Boston, we'll see you on April 2 for the Rock n Roll Rumble. Cheers, Jen
