Friday night arrives without a suitcase
![]() My blanket of the moment happens to be Sgt. Pepper. You can listen to the four sampler tracks here:http://www.nme.com/mediaPlayer&function=right&playlist_id=745&unsigned= And oddly enough, my three favorite bands of all time are putting out records of rehashed material on the same day. Oasis (Stop the Clocks) and U2 (U218) are putting out Best Of's, as well as the fabs with Love. I'm kinda happy about the Oasis best of, even though there are absolutely no new songs on it. Conversely, I'm disappointed about the U2 best of, even though there are two new songs on it. I can understand that it's supposed to coincide with their Beatles Anthology-esque autobiography, but they've already got two (count 'em) Best Of's already out there (one of them was put out just three, four years ago). What the hell, guys? Gonna go to the Oasis screening tomorrow at the Kendall for Lord Don't Slow Me Down. Very excited about that. I love band-on-the-road type documentaries. Finally saw Borat tonight. It was excellent, but I've seen the Borat skits on Ali G for a while. Not to take away from the movie, but I think the skits were better. All the same, I'd recommend the movie to everyone I know. Especially if you won't get it. There's something great about that humor, catching people unawares and on camera. Finally got around to working on a demo. That makes me happy. Anything else? Why, yes: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/01003D4DAE10AC96?artistid=961088&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=60 Cheers, Henry ![]() Love By The Beatles BLOG ARCHIVE
