100K and Counting: You love the Plane*arium

Jen went with her sister to go get a haircut while Jon, Ryan and myself took a field trip to Circuit City, to take advantage of their huge mega Z0MG WE'RE GOING THE FUCK OUT OF BUSINESS sale. There wasn't much to look at. Most of the shelves were empty, ones that weren't were either huge TVs that were still too expensive and boxes of random cables that just said "$25 each". Still, Jon managed to walk away with that memory card he was looking for, and Ryan walked away with Season Two of South Park for cheap.

Trip to Greenville, NC was about an hour and a half away from Raleigh, so not too bad. I slept most of the trip there. Once we got to the address the GPS gave us, we were a little confused because it led us to a house. We checked and double checked, and it turned out that we were playing a house party. Nothing wrong with this, mind you, but we were absolutely not prepared for this eventuality. After some digging around, it turns out that the people running these shows used to have a venue and are doing fundraisers at these house shows to be able to afford a new space. While folks were busy setting the place up, the four of us hung out in the (warm) car, watching some South Park.

After some confusion/haggling over the set times, we finally performed. It was incredibly fun and weird (good weird) and sweaty and rocking; the kind of performance you'd expect playing in a 12x12 room to a bunch of kids crowded in a house. The kids there were super nice, and I even shotgunned a beer with them (Busch Lite, though... gross).

When we got back, Ryan went straight for the bed. Jen, Jon and I stayed up a little longer watching some Simpsons before passing out from exhaustion.
