Mr. Simpson's opinions do not reflect those of the producers, who don't consider the Grammy an award at all.

A little over one more day before we hit the road again. Incredibly anxious right now (the espresso I had about an hour ago did not help). Tires are kicked, checklists (the nice way of saying "paper that says DON'T FORGET PHONE CHARGER, BUCKO") are being checked, guitars restrung, Grammy Awards ignored.... Even figured out how to reach yonder internets with text messages. Yup. Good to go. The last major trek in September was, admittedly, a bit rough on the soul, but I've got a good feeling about this one. I want to live again, Clarence!

We had our penultimate tour rehearsal tonight, working on our Stones covers for the NYC show, whose theme is Brian Jones' Birthday. Tight like a tiger.

Actually, I'm lying about the Grammys. I did tune in just in time to catch McCartney jamming on I Saw Her Standing There with Dave Grohl. It was fun to see Dave back there with an ear-to-ear grin, singing along to every word, probably pissing himself. And this man was in Nirvana (a presumably more frightening situation). Even if you hate Paul, Dave Grohl, or both, you have to admit this is better on the senses than John Mayer winning a Grammy.

I'm not even arguing that the dude can play a guitar like a mofo or that his 2girls1cup parody wasn't funny as hell. But will no one stand up and say "That's enough, John Mayer"?

I'd probably be pissed about this if the Grammy was a real award.
